Intermodal logistics as a key to forwarders' success

ISELOGIS brings together industry leaders to discuss how intermodal logistics has become a key tool for forwarders to meet the challenges of trade in 2025.

Intermodal transportation is no longer an alternative but a strategic factor in modern logistics. With the growing need for efficiency, traceability and sustainability, more and more companies are exploring this modality as a way to optimize their operations, especially in the face of scenarios such as nearshoring or the increase in regional trade in North America.

In this context, the webinar "Revolutionizing logistics: How intermodal drives forwarders' success in 2025" was held, with the participation of two industry leaders: Joss Romero, CEO of Multimodal Solutions Cargo, and Juan Jesús Romero, CEO of Mosur. The conversation focused on the main challenges and opportunities that logistics players face when integrating intermodal schemes into their processes.

More connected, more precise logistics

In modern logistics, the intermodal approach is consolidating as a strategic solution to meet the challenges of today's trade. The combination of modes - such as road, rail and sea - optimizes resources and increases visibility at every stage of the journey.

Companies that adopt this vision not only prioritize efficiency, but also traceability, emissions reduction and the ability to adapt quickly to changing contexts, such as border crossings or port bottlenecks. This approach requires comprehensive planning, monitoring technologies and seamless coordination between logistics partners.

Training: a pending debt in the sector

The webinar was also a space to highlight the role of specialized training. Organized by the Instituto Superior de Estudios Logísticos(ISELOGIS), the conversation brought to the table the urgent need to professionalize logistics talent. Institutions such as ISELOGIS offer high-level programs with international accreditation, such as theFIATA Diploma and courses on dangerous goods, providing real tools to decision makers in the supply chain.

The future of logistics depends on a collaborative vision, where companies, operators and specialists converge in a single mission: to design more agile, visible and sustainable supply chains. Intermodal logistics, far from being a passing trend, is emerging as a structural response to the challenges of today's trade.

Experiences such as this meeting strengthen dialogue in the sector and confirm that shared knowledge is also a driver of transformation.
